Real Men Stand Up. Real Men Show Up.

D.B.A (Dads Being Accountable) is a RISE UP initiative designed to encourage men to take full responsibility for their children and play an active, positive role in the lives of young mothers and families. The program challenges harmful social norms around absentee fatherhood by promoting accountability, respect, and shared parenting responsibilities. We believe fatherhood is more than a title—it is a lifelong commitment to presence, care, protection, and support. Through mentorship, community engagement, guidance, and referrals, D.B.A empowers men to step up as responsible fathers, supportive partners, and positive role models, helping to build stronger families and safer, more resilient communities.

Why D.B.A Matters

Too many young women and children are left to struggle alone due to absent or irresponsible parenting. D.B.A challenges this reality by promoting accountability, positive fatherhood, and shared responsibility in raising healthy, secure families.

Strong families create strong communities—and it starts with accountable dads.

Through D.B.A, we:

  1. Promote responsible fatherhood and accountability
  2. Engage men as positive role models in families and communities

  3. Support co-parenting and family stability

  4. Work alongside young mothers to improve outcomes for children

  5. Connect families to guidance, referrals, and community support

Our Perspective

Our message is simple and clear: being a real man means taking responsibility for your actions and your children, offering consistent emotional and financial support, standing with the mother of your child, and remaining present, reliable, and accountable. True fatherhood is shown through commitment, respect, and active involvement in building a stable and supportive family.
